As a child I was always interested in money and started collecting coins at six years old. My father had a Post Office, Grocers, Garage and Petrol Station where I learned a lot about value of customers. So not surprising really I ended up in Sales at Aggreko.
I studied Computer Science at Glasgow University and after graduation joined Aggreko in Dumbarton as a temporary Graduate trainee in April 1989. In September 1989 I started permanently as Hire Controller. I was responsible for all aspects of the hire from talking the initial enquiry over the phone, preparing proposals, sourcing fleet, arranging engineering and logistics and maintaining breakdowns and servicing. After eight years I moved to internal Sales Negotiator to concentrate more on sales side. For the last thirteen years I have been on the road looking after Fish Farms, Events and for a while Telecoms. I have been involved in many creative solutions to provide cost effective operations within the UK aquaculture industry. If you need assistance with power, cooling, heating or drying please give me a challenge. Also ask me about fuel efficiencies , it's remarkable how big some savings can be!
At home, I have two great kids, Matthew and Emma. If I get any spare time I still collect coins and very occasionally a round of golf.
